Plot:

This lighthearted show is set in the "Sleep Tite Pajama Factory" where overworked employees are on the verge of a strike. Set in the 1950s, the factory workers want a seven-and-a-half-cent per hour raise and management is set against it. In the midst of the conflict, a romance blossoms between the new factory supervisor, Sid, and one of the workers, Babe, who is also the leader of the Union Grievance Committee.

Another romance is already underway between Gladys Hotchkiss, the secretary to the factory owner, and Vernon Hines, the factory’s time management supervisor. Prez, the union president who thinks himself a Casanova, brings out Hines’ jealous streak as he pursues Gladys before finding his match in factory worker, Mae.
