The play tells the remarkable true story of Sala Garncarz, who spent five years in seven different Nazi labor camps from 1940 to 1945.  Throughout her ordeal she drew strength from the mail she received from friends and family, risking her life to keep the letters hidden and safe.  Over 350 pieces of mail survived the war along with Sala, but she did not share them with any of her loved ones until decades later.
